Childrenite is a rare hydrated iron aluminum phosphate mineral found strictly as a late-stage secondary crystallisation inside complex granitic pegmatites. The miarolitic pockets of Shengus, Pakistan, produce some of the finest crystallized examples of this species known to mineralogy.
