Collector Spodumene & Afghan Kunzite Crystals

Discovered in large lithium-bearing pegmatite pockets, kunzite is the pink-to-lilac variety of spodumene. Crystals from the Hindu Kush and Karakoram ranges are celebrated internationally for their sharp chisel-like terminations, deep vertical striations, and remarkable optical transparency.

Locality Characteristics:

  • Nuristan & Kunar, Afghanistan: The world's benchmark for intensely saturated lilac kunzite crystals, often accompanied by blue-green spodumene (hiddenite) and cleavelandite.
  • Strong Pleochroism: Displaying distinct dual-color tones when viewed down the c-axis versus the prism faces.

Natural Care Note

Our kunzite specimens are 100% natural and unheated. To preserve their natural color depth, display your specimens away from continuous, direct unfiltered sunlight.
